These bike racks are soon to be taking over NYC, one street at a time. The design is simple, effective, and a great use of space, and of course, attractive! Anyone see these around, yet? These new designs are a hopeful means of encouraging more people to take active transportation, but I'm not sure how successful it will be in under those terms.
